Improve your Marketing skills:

Everybody has an in-built marketing skill and at one point in your life you must have had a personal item you sold to a friend, neighbor, colleague or a relative. I see young men and ladies selling items like laptops, phone devices, make-up kits and so on without receiving any previous marketing training. This is an evidence that we all have an in-built marketing and selling skill.

However, to make that selling skill more efficient and effective, you need to spend time researching and studying all about marketing.

Build good Customer relationship with your customers:

The best way to promote and grow your business is by building a good and constant relationship with your customers. 

Since the customer is the vital key and backbone to every successful business, it is important that the marketer is in constant touch with them by giving educative updates about new products and services that you currently offer.

Always come down to the level your customer understands, you may even need to speak their language to build rapport and better relationship.

Get to know your customers on a personal level. For example you can get his birthday, wedding anniversary and so on. When you contact your customers on these special occasions, they feel loved and cared for.


Once you have a good customer relationship, your customers in return will help you promote your business by advertising for you, via referrals or even by word of mouth to their friends. This strategy will make your business grow and keep you ahead of other competitors.

No customer will patronize a business that will put them through a lot of stress. So ensure that doing business with you is easy and stress free. 

People are taking marketing to a whole new level by carrying their products or goods to the doorsteps of customers. 

A lot of marketers now make sure that customers can easily purchase their goods and services at the convenience of their homes or office and even go the extra mile of delivering the items purchased to the customer at his doorstep for little or no charge at all.

Also, ensure that your business is easy to understand and purchase with the intent of satisfying customers’ needs.

Customers tend to acknowledge these patterns and will patronize you regularly.

Focus on your Target Audience:

To ensure that the marketing of your products and services is effective, you have to focus on your target audience by knowing, anticipating and meeting their wants, needs and expectations.

Once their needs and expectations are met, they will patronize you more and invite others to do the same thereby increasing your customer base and income.



Overall, it is advisable to know your customer, develop different and effective marketing strategies either marketing online (Digital marketing) or Offline (Physical marketing) in order to have a successful business.
